Zhedong Ren, tenor, currently based in New York

Being part of Cevennes Lyrique has been a truly meaningful and enriching experience. I am profoundly grateful to everyone involved in this beautiful project. Under the guidance of two inspiring teachers, I’ve gained not only valuable artistic insight, but also the opportunity to bring these discoveries to life on stage, alongside exceptional colleagues.

What touched me most was the sense of community—full of warmth, kindness, and generosity from both the staff and fellow artists.

I look forward with great joy and anticipation to returning this summer.

“My time at the first edition of Cévennes Lyriques was a beautiful experience that served me both professionally and personally. I greatly benefitted from the intensive program structure, taking advantage of daily lessons and frequent coachings. It allowed me time explore and refine my repertoire, improve my French diction, and most importantly, make music with international friends and colleagues. I would heartily recommend this program to any young artist looking for a respite to focus on their artistic and personal development.“

"It was an enlightening experience to have the opportunity to work with such an inspiring group of mentors. I found the vision brought by the festival’s directors to be truly unique. Combined with the beautiful space we worked in and the incredibly warm and talented colleagues I met, this festival was the ideal setting for learning and making music."
